A meet and greet with Emily Tracy, candidate for Senate District 8, will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 14 at Downtown Books.

Maybell Senior Citizens to host chili suppers

The Maybell Senior Citizens held a planning meeting for the upcoming annual chili suppers Oct. 6.

The Annual Chili Suppers will be Friday, Oct. 21 and Friday, Nov. 4.

The ladies gentlemen are preparing three kinds of chili — tame, wild and white — to be served with onions, cheese and crackers. Homemade rolls, homemade cornbread, and homemade pie, with coffee and lemonade, complete the menu.

The suppers will be at the Maybell Community Center beginning at 4 p.m. Admission is a $6 donation.

Grief support group slated to start Tuesday

Northwest Colorado Health will host Facing the Mourning, a grief education and support group, from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 14 through Nov. 15, at the Northwest Colorado Health Yampa Avenue office, 485 Yampa Ave.

The group is open to anyone coping with the loss of a friend or a loved one. For more information or to RSVP, call 970-871-7682.
