Council on Aging offers Helping Hands
Routt County Council on Aging is launching Helping Hands, a new service that has long been requested by families in the community, for companion care and non-medical home care.
Helping Hands is available for older adults in Routt County who need a little extra help on a weekly basis, including companion care, light housekeeping, meal prep and laundry and shopping assistance. The services are available for a suggested donation of $15 per hour.
As one of many community services provided by Council on Aging, medical equipment — including wheelchairs, walkers, canes, toilet riser seats, shower transfer chairs and other items — is available to borrow for free.
The Council on Aging is always looking for help from volunteers with meal delivery, senior lunch service, office tasks and events. Contact the nonprofit at 970-879-0633 ext. 4 or visit rccoaging.org for more.
