Steamboat Springs — Residents can relive last year’s epic ski season and register to win new skis or a Steamboat ski vacation at bigsno.com.
The 2006 Bigsno.com 12 Days of Christmas Ski Sweepstakes begins today. The promotion is sponsored by Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. and the Steamboat Pilot & Today.
Prizes will be awarded daily beginning today through Christmas Day. People can enter once a day at bigsno.com.
Ten pairs of Salomon Tornado all-mountain skis will be awarded. The skis are the “chin deep” prizes in the contest. One pair of skis will be given away each day beginning Friday and continuing through Christmas Eve.
Ten “waist deep” prizes – vouchers for First Tracks, which allow people to ride the mountain before everyone else – also will be awarded.
Finally, there will be 10 $25 gift cards given away. These are the “knee deep” prizes.

The vacation includes two roundtrip airline tickets, four nights at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel, lift tickets for three days, high-end demo rentals and two $25 gift cards. The sweepstakes is promoting Ski Corp.’s bigsno.com Web site as well as the Steamboat Pilot & Today’s Big Blogski ski blog.
The Big Blogski (www.steamboatpilot.com/blogski) features daily thoughts, opinions and banter from people on the mountain. Anyone is invited to sign up and share stories and opinions ranging from snow reports to updates on how the Bloody Mary drinks are tasting at the Stoker Bar and Restaurant.
Bigsno.com features photos and video from the ski area from this year as well as last year’s epic season.
“It just kind of details the experience in epic proportions,” said Ski Corp. spokeswoman Heidi Thomsen. “It’s a place to celebrate big Steamboat snow with videos and photos.”
If people are interested in media from the ski area, Thom-
sen said people should check the site regularly because new content will be added, including Steamboat video shorts from Warren Miller Entertainment.
“It’s a real fun site because it’s all beauty shots,” Thomsen said.
Sweepstakes winners will be posted daily on bigsno.com.
