Community Connections: The Difference: Routt County United Way
It’s the season of giving — here at home in Routt County and around the world. People everywhere tend to be inspired to give a little more back this time of year, be it in the form of their time, money or otherwise. Some are inspired by hope — hope for a better life for all — while others may be inspired for more personal reasons — religion, a lifelong cause, or even something closer to home, such as a family member suffering from addiction.
Whatever the reasons, we become united as givers — those who care about something more than themselves and, more importantly, are motivated to do something about it. And for this inspired group of givers, determining the best way to do their giving can sometimes be a challenge.
Who should you give your time or money to? How can you know for sure it is being put to most effective use? That it is helping solve our community’s biggest, toughest problems? This is where United Way comes in.
Routt County United Way fights for our community’s most critical problems. Each year, RCUW conducts an extensive allocations process, taking the pulse of the problems and missed gaps in the community, and then funding those agencies that can best solve them. And then we check up on them by making sure every dollar is used wisely and effectively.
We help underprivileged youth have access to early childhood education and after-school programs. We help struggling working families gain the skills to live self-sufficiently and successfully. And we provide support to those struggling from abusive relationships, addiction and more.
At Routt County United Way, we fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our county. And we are uniquely positioned to partner with other nonprofits, business, government, agencies and schools to best determine areas of need and solutions. We, indeed, are the game-changers.
So when you are choosing where to give your time and dollars this season, consider donating to Routt County United Way. Not only can you be certain that every dollar will stay right here in Routt County, but moreover you can rest assured knowing that every dollar will go towards effective programs and agencies aimed at solving our community’s biggest problems and challenges.
This season, give to Routt County United Way. Because when we Live United, we all Live Better. Visit RouttCountyUnitedWay.org/FIGHT to learn more and to give today.
