STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — More than 550 coats were donated to Colorado Group Realty’s annual coat drive for LiftUp of Routt County.

“We received so many quality coats and winter accessories this year,” said Michelle Parilla, Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation board member and coat drive organizer, in a news release. “It was a successful and super fun day.”

Twenty volunteers from Colorado Group Realty collected coats and other winter gear from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 with community members stopping by throughout the day.

It’s our hope that everyone in Routt County can have a warm coat to get through our cold winters,” said Colorado Group Realty CEO Steve Goldman in a news release. “This year we had so much community support; it was our biggest coat drive of our 15 years organizing it. CGR is so proud that we can help those in need.”

The coats will be handed out to those in need from Oct. 22 to 26 at the United Methodist Church of Steamboat Springs.

“Thanks to the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation and the Steamboat community for all of the coat donations,” said Heidi Mendisco, who guides community support at LiftUp, in a news release. “We are so grateful.”

The event also received support from Marmot and Ski Town Cleaners.
