Colorado Department of Revenue extends tax deadline

The Colorado Department of Revenue is providing taxpayers an additional day to file and pay their taxes following technical difficulties on the Internal Revenue Service website.

Individuals and businesses with a filing or payment due date of April 17 will now have until midnight tonight, Wednesday, April 18. Taxpayers do not need to do anything to receive this extension.

Taxpayers are always encouraged to file through CDORS’s Revenue Online service at Colorado.gov/RevenueOnline.
