Colorado average gas prices rise

Average gasoline prices in Colorado have risen 3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.86/gallon today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,158 stations in Colorado.

Prices in Colorado are 16.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has risen 1.1 cents in the last week and stands at $3.514 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Colorado was priced at $2.15/gallon yesterday while the most expensive was $4.19/gallon, a difference of $2.04/gallon. The lowest price in the state yesterday was $2.15/gallon while the highest was $4.19/gallon, a difference of $2.04/gallon.



The national average price of gasoline has fallen 0.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3 a gallon today. The national average is down 7.7 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 23.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations nationwide.

Neighboring areas and their current gas prices:



  • Fort Collins- $2.76/gallon, up 8.1 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.68/gallon
  • Colorado Springs- $2.72/gallon, up 1.5 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.71/gallon
  • Denver- $2.75/gallon, up 4.2 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.70/gallon
