Color Run set for Saturday

— Steamboat’s Color Run is set to take off at 4 p.m. Saturday from the Brent Romick Rodeo Arena in downtown Steamboat Springs.

The event will feature 1- and 3-mile courses. The shorter version will make laps around the rodeo grounds while the longer one will loop up onto Howelsen Hill and Emerald Mountain before coming back to finish at the rodeo grounds. Along the way, the runners and walkers, encouraged to wear white T-shirts, will be doused with clouds of color cornmeal at a handful of color stations.

The event costs $30 for adults and $20 for the first child, which reduced rates for additional children. A portion of the day’s proceeds will support the Steamboat Springs High School cross-country team. Visit http://www.getfitfamilyracing.com/training to register.
