Coffee With Cops heads west to Big Iron Coffee

The Steamboat Springs Police Department is headed west this month to Big Iron Coffee for the next installment of the Coffee with Cops program from 8:30-10 a.m. Wednesday.

“The mornings are getting colder, the air crisper and we couldn’t think of a better way to start a fall day than enjoying a hot cup of coffee with members of our community,” Police Chief Mark Beckett said in a statement. “This is a great opportunity to get to know us better and understand how we’re working to keep the community safe.”

Steamboat Springs police, school resource officers, community service officers and animal control officers along with members of the Routt County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand from 8:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at Big Iron Coffee Roastery, 2432 Lincoln Ave.

Coffee with Cops is designed to allow open, two-way dialogue between the community and the police department. Community members can ask questions and learn about the men and women who serve the community.
