CMC student arrested on drug charges

— An 18-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of possessing a Schedule 1 controlled substance, possessing marijuana concentrate, possessing less than 1 gram of marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia after his Colorado Mountain College resident adviser called police after she smelled marijuana and found some marijuana in the man’s room, police said Thursday.

Police Sgt. Dale Coyner said Glenn David Leclair was arrested after he gave officers permission to search his college dorm room. During the search, police reportedly found less than 1 gram of marijuana, 2.8 grams of hashish and an unknown amount of suspected psilocybin mushrooms.

The RA reportedly found a gram scale and some plastic sandwich bags as well, police said.

Leclair’s bond has been set at $20,000. He is scheduled for advisement at 1 p.m. today in Routt County Court.
