Gayer earns Western State Bachelor of Arts degree
Steamboat Springs — Kristopher Gayer, son of Kathy and Dwight Gayer and a 2004 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western State College on Dec. 20. Kris Gayer will continue to pursue advanced degrees in history.
CMC offers 5-week study abroad program in Spain
Colorado Mountain College is offering a five-week study abroad program to Madrid and Salamanca, Spain, from May 26 to June 27. The Spanish-language-immersion trip is open to adults, as well as college and high school students.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Salamanca is known as “La Dorada,” or the golden city.
Participants can earn three to 10 college credits.
The trip fee of $2,500 includes board, classes, some tours and many meals. Airline flight and CMC tuition are extra. Depending on the level of Spanish proficiency, students can earn three to five transferable college credits. Students who extend their program can earn as many as 10 credits.
