Topher Simon named to college dean’s list
Topher Simon, a 2003 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, was named to the dean’s list at San Francisco State University for the fall semester of 2003. Simon is the son of Diana Simon and Jeffrey and Karen Simon.
Berdine recognized as UNC ‘Next Scholar’
Jacqueline Berdine of Steamboat Springs was among a group of University of Northern Colorado freshmen honored at the end of February for achieving grade point averages of 3.5 or better. Berdine was named one of UNC’s “Next Scholars.”

Eighth grade — Annie Kuczkowski. Ninth grade — Nic DeVos, Marc Hall, Betty Sasak and Tanner Stillwell. Tenth grade — Sean Hays, Katie O’Hara and Rebecca Timmerman. Eleventh grade — Collin Geldmeier, Dana Schlingman and Florie Van Baak. Twelfth grade — Rob Anderson, Meredith Gilliland, Kelly Jordan, Daylee King, Lisl Pearson and Lindsay Marias.
