Carmen Leigh Schmidt

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSCarmen Leigh Schmidt of Steamboat Springs was named to the spring 2001 semester honor roll at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan. Schmidt, daughter of Stan and Carol, is a sophomore liberal arts and sciences major.

Stephanie L. Berens of Steamboat Springs is a recipient of a University of Idaho scholarship for the 2001-2002 school year. Berens received the scholarship because of her excellent academic records as well as activity and leadership involvement on campus and in communities.

The University of Idaho awarded more than $9 million to more than 4,700 students who may attend.

DOCK OFFERS AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
The Dock at Emerald City is open year-round to sixth through eighth graders from 6 to 10 p.m. every Friday. The cost is $1, which includes music, dancing, pool table, air hockey, snack bar, fooz ball and friends.
