PHILLIP TO ATTEND DARTMOUTH COLLEGE

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSJessica Phillip of Steamboat Springs has enrolled in Dartmouth College as a member of the class of 2005. Phillip is the daughter of Barbara and William Phillip. Noted as one of the nation’s most competitive institutions, Dartmouth’s enrollment includes 4,300 undergraduates and 1,200 graduate students in arts, science and graduate schools of business, engineering and medicine.

FOURTH-GRADER RECEIVES HONOR



STEAMBOAT SPRINGSFourth-grader Devin Wilkinson of the Christian Heritage School received honorable mention in CollegeInvest “Who Wants to be a College Student.” Wilkinson was one of nearly 1,500 entries from 52 Colorado communities who creatively expressed their hopes and dreams for the future. The program selected 50 fourth-graders to receive college starter account scholarships of $50. Wilkinson was one of 53 students named as honorable mentions. Selection of the top students was based on short essays, poetry and drawings that were used to predict important events that may happen to them personally in the next 10 years, to describe their favorite places in Colorado and to share information about an important person who made a difference in their life.
