City to host Dec. 11 open house about 13th Street improvements

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The city of Steamboat Springs will hold a public open house to discuss 13th Street sidewalk improvements, which will be completed during summer 2019, from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the Steamboat Springs Community Center, 1605 Lincoln Ave.

The community will have an opportunity to meet with city staff and the project team to learn more about the improvements, possible impacts and timing. The project will install an eight-foot sidewalk along the south side of the road running from the Yampa River bridge near the Bud Werner Memorial Library to Lithia Springs Road. During the open house, the project design and construction schedule will be reviewed and public comment will be accepted.

One-on-one meetings with interested parties who cannot attend the open house can be scheduled with staff. In addition, anyone wishing to discuss the plan in more technical detail than is presented during the open house is invited to reach out directly to city engineering.
