City to being paving and striping work on Monday, May 6

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The city of Steamboat Springs will begin paving Monday, May 6, with work expected to be completed by mid-June. Striping will begin June 17 and is expected to be completed by June 19.

Residents should expect delays and detours during the project. The $1.2 million contract was awarded to United Companies and will cover 20 roadways, including: Tenth Street from Lincoln Avenue to Oak Street, the alley between Tenth and 11th streets, Buckskin Court, Clubhouse Drive, Hillside Drive, River Queen Lane, the Riverside area, Storm Mountain Court, Storm Peak Court, Tamarack Drive from Hilltop Parkway to Hillside Drive, Mountain Vista Circle, part of Mount Werner Circle, part of Mount Werner Road, Natches Road, Ranch Road, The Boulevard, Village Drive from Après Ski Way to Walton Creek Road, West Hillside Court, Wyatt Drive and Wyatt Way.

The following parking lots also will be paved: Tenth Street, City Hall, Seventh and Yampa streets, 10th Street on-street parking and the Public Works Shop.
