Chief Theater hosts auditions for youth holiday production

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Auditions for the Chief Theater’s fourth annual youth holiday production will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30.

Kids of all ages and experiences are invited to audition, and parents who would like to help behind the scenes are also being recruited. Auditions will consist of cold readings of the script as well as some improvisation to see how well kids can take direction.

The production, “An Elf in Elementary School,” will be directed by Scott Parker, Robin David and Todd Danielson. Rehearsals are at 6 p.m. Sundays and Mondays or Tuesdays at the Chief. Kids only need to attend rehearsals for the scenes they are in. Attendance is mandatory for rehearsals the week of Dec. 2 to 6. Performances will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 and at 4 p.m. Dec. 9.
