Cause of death determined for homeless man

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — An autopsy has determined that a homeless man found dead in the shower of a public bathroom died from liver failure.
Charles Walter Brownne, 66, was discovered June 26.
Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg was able to notify the man’s brother.
The brother told Ryg that Brownne had been homeless for years.
“That was his lifestyle,” Ryg said.
Brownne had been in Steamboat since March or April.
