By the numbers: Soroco football in state, national rankings

Soroco senior Jace Logan runs with the ball in the game against Plateau Valley at Soroco High School on Sept. 28.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Soroco High School Rams are the only undefeated team in Routt County, but still have a lot to learn as the competition increases.

Senior running back Jace Logan still leads the Rams’ offense, and has even made himself known on a national level in the ground game.

“It's always awesome for me, but it's not about me, it's about my team,” Logan said. “They help me get those touchdowns. At the end of the day, stats don't matter, it's the team, the brotherhood.”

The Plateau Valley Cowboys gave the Rams a little scare last Friday, as the Rams allowed more points and went into halftime leading by a smaller margin, 36-26, before winning 64-46.

“Our defense couldn't really tackle, that's what we'll be working on this next week, but a win's a win.” Dudas said after the game on Sept. 28.

Soroco travels to Vail Christian (3-2,1-2) this week before taking on some tougher competition against Rangely (4-1, 1-1) on Oct. 12 next week and West Grand (6-0, 3-0) on Oct. 19.
