Vectra Bank sets wealth symposium
Investment Services at Vectra Bank will sponsors a Wealth Strategies Symposium Tuesday.
Deb Perullo from the Wealth Strategies Group out of Boston will be the guest speaker, covering topics on estate-planning techniques, tax managed investing, charitable remainder trusts and distribution planning.
Carlson Wagonlit aids foundation
For the third year in a row Carlson Wagonlit Travel is donating $5 for every airline ticket sold in the month of September to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Last year, Carlson Wagonlit raised over $2,600 for the foundation and presented the check at the Race for the Cure held in Denver. Carlson Wagonlit Travel donates the money in the name of the people of Steamboat Springs.

This year’s race is scheduled for Oct. 7, and the goal, with the help of private donations, is to increase last year’s amount. Donations made will provide the Steamboat Springs area with a percentage of the monies allocated by the foundation.
Chart House marks 40 years
Chart House, a chain of seafood restaurants, will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a menu fixed at 1961 prices today through Saturday.
The restaurant began as a small, single location opened by a group of surfers in 1961 in Aspen. There also are Chart House restaurants in Steamboat and Golden.
Local general manager Karen Puffett has been at Steamboat’s Chart House since it opened 13 years ago.
Northwest Graphics ups technology
Northwest Graphics, a commercial printing company in Steamboat Springs, has installed a digital “computer-to-plate” system.
The new technology eliminates one step in the process of getting customers’ jobs from the computer screen onto the press. Jeff Swoyer of Northwest Graphics said the new equipment reduces the expense of creating printing plates and permits higher quality and faster turnaround.
