Mary Verity named director of sales
Mary S. Verity has been appointed the director of sales of The Steamboat Grand Resort and Conference Center.
Verity is responsible for overseeing all group sales at the upscale hotel, which opened in October 2000 and offers Steamboat Springs’ most luxurious guest ambiance.
She brings 13 years of hospitality sales experience to her new position. Most recently, she was director of national sales at the Englewood-based Sceptre Hospitality Resources, a hotel technology company; previously she was regional director of sales and marketing at the Englewood-based Richfield Management Co., with responsibility for 16 owned and managed hotels.
Mesecher honored for achievements
Local Realtor Sherry Mesecher, a broker-associate/owner of RE/MAX Steamboat, was recently honored by RE/MAX International with the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is presented to members who have been affiliated with the RE/MAX organization at least seven years and have helped more than 1,000 families in buying and selling real estate. Only 118 individuals among the 65,000 RE/MAX memberships were honored with this award for 2000, and only 408 have earned the award since the company was founded in 1973. In addition, for the fifth consecutive year, Mesecher was honored with the RE/MAX Platinum Club Award. This award is based on sales production for the year.
RE/MAX broker earns top award
Stephan Baden, co-owner and broker associate with RE/MAX Steamboat, has been awarded the Platinum Club Award for the second consecutive year. The Platinum Award is based on sales production for the year. It is the highest such award in the RE/MAX network,. Only 3,756 of the 65,000 RE/MAX agents achieved such status.
