First National names new VP

First National Bank of Steamboat Springs is pleased to announce the promotion of Ruth Dombrowski to vice president/commercial banker. In her new position, Dombrowski will work with commercial and real estate borrowers.

Dombrowski has been in Routt County for 21 years and is a graduate of the Colorado School of Banking. She is the president of the Steamboat Springs Chamber Ambassadors and is active in the Downtown Business Association.

“Ruth has a very strong banking background and will be a valuable asset in working with the commercial and real estate customers,” said John Kerst, president of First National Bank.

Realtor named ‘Broker of Year’

Colorado Group Realty recently presented its “Broker of the Year Award” to Penny Fletcher for her outstanding sales record and client service.

Fletcher still finds time to enjoy her family she has two sons who are both up-and-coming nordic combined athletes and is an active volunteer in the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.

Vectra Bank picks new assistant VP

Vectra Bank Colorado in Steamboat Springs is pleased to announce the promotion of Michele Russo Barkal to assistant vice president. Barkal joined the bank in December 1999 and is actively involved in commercial and construction lending.

A native of Connecticut, Barkal moved to Steamboat Springs two years ago with 15 years of commercial banking experience.

Barkal is the vice president of the Business and Profes-sional Women’s Club.
