Business briefs: Papa Murphy’s raising money for Italy earthquake relief

In an effort to show solidarity with victims of the recent earthquake in Italy, Papa Murphy’s Steamboat Springs will donate $1 for each pizza sold Friday, Sept. 2.

Husband and wife team Jordan and Lindsey Kenning are inspired by the fundraising events of Italian restaurants across the world and are enthusiastic to make their own contribution.

“Although our take ‘n’ bake pizzas differ from the pizzas you would see in Naples, our cultural heritage shares many ties with Italy,” said Jordan Kenning. “Without Italy, there would be no pizza. If we can help others through our shared love of food, we want to be involved.”

Papa Murphy’s is open year-round and features an open layout that showcases the scratch-made dough prep area, hand-chopped vegetable toppings and freshly grated, 100-percent, whole-milk mozzarella cheese. Papa Murphy’s pizzas are completely customizable, and guests can choose to top their favorite scratch-made crust, made in-store daily, with a wide variety of fresh, wholesome ingredients.
