In honor of Women’s History Month, the Bud Werner Library will present the 14th annual Lunafest, a nationally touring film festival highlighting women as leaders in society, illustrated through seven short films.

The 2023 festival is designed to empower and inspire, and it includes a selection of films made by women and gender nonconforming directors from all walks of life. The filmmakers range from poets to conservationists, activists and educators. They tell stories that remind viewers when people come together, everyone moves forward.

The festival films feature strong women, powerful images and impactful language, reflecting the diverse perspectives of the filmmakers and their subjects, according to a news release. The library recommends viewers be age 13 or older.

The free festival returns at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in Library Hall. Free Luna bars will also be available. For more, SteamboatLibrary.org/Events/Lunafest2023.
