Retirement reception planned for Marsha Daughenbaugh

A retirement reception honoring Marsha Daughenbaugh, who is retiring as executive director of Community Agriculture Alliance, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29 in the Routt County Board of County Commissioners hearing room. She has served as executive director of the nonprofit organization since 2003 and will retire March 31. The reception is open to the community.
Newspaper's sports editor slated to speak about Winter Olympics
Steamboat Pilot & Today will host its next Coffee and a Newspaper from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 4 at the newspaper office, 1901 Curve Plaza. Sports Editor Joel Reichenberger will be talking about his experience covering the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. He will share some of his favorite photos and stories from the Games. The event is free and open to the community. Free coffee and pastries will be served.
Denver museum curator to speak about Dead Sea Scrolls today
Steve Nash, curator of anthropology at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, will speak about the Dead Sea Scrolls and what the museum learned as they prepared for the exhibit at 6 p.m. today at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. Admission to the talk is free and is being co-presented by Har Mishpacha, The Jewish Congregation of Steamboat Springs, Heart of Steamboat Methodist Church and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Steamboat Today seeks members to serve on next Editorial Board
The Steamboat Pilot & Today is accepting letters of interest from readers who would like to serve as community representatives on the newspaper's Editorial Board. Individuals selected for the board will be asked to serve a four-month term beginning in March.
The Editorial Board includes two community representatives and three members of the newspaper staff.
Newspaper staff members on the board are Publisher Suzanne Schlicht, Editor Lisa Schlichtman and veteran reporter Tom Ross.
