Routt County officials meet Friday evening

Routt County officials, including one or more county commissioners, County Manager Tom Sullivan, Environmental Health Manager Michael Zopf, building official Carl Dunham and Planning Director Caryn Fox will hold a meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Friday to answer questions about the county. The meeting, which includes free coffee, is at the Country Cafe in Yampa.

Update on real estate recording system planned

Officials from Routt County’s Clerk and Recorder’s Office plan to update the real estate recording system, thanks to a $62,346 state grant.

The Clerk and Recorder Technology Panel awarded the money from the State Technology Fund. The money will be used to upgrade the searching capability of the county’s online real estate system. The conversion is scheduled for June.

Story-time for children ages 5 and younger

Bud Werner Memorial Library invites children 5 and younger to Hodgepodge story-time, every other Thursday from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Hodgepodge is a free, drop-in program, and will be offered today, Oct, 20, Nov. 3 and 17 and Dec. 1 and 15.

Snacks and an activity are provided. Call 879-0240.

Registration for youth hockey available now

Registration is under way for the 2005-06 season of the Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association. Boys and girls of all ability levels are encouraged to sign up. or call 871-0063.
