Registration forms for middle school boys lacrosse are available at the Steamboat Springs Middle School administration office. Completed forms are due March 15. Call 870-6545.
Monet and Mixed Media at the Depot next week
Kaleidoscope After School Art Workshops for Kids presents Monet and Mixed Media from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through March 11 at the Depot Art Center. The workshop is open to children ages 6 to 12. Call 879-9008 to register.
The Potter’s Wheel is offering a sculpting class
The Potter’s Wheel is offering a three-part sculpting class for adults in which participants will hand-build a dragon. The cost is $70, and the workshop takes place 6:30 to 9 p.m. March 24 and 26 and 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 9. Rosie MacDonald will instruct. Registration is required; call 879-4944.

Federal funds available for nonprofit organizations
The Northern Rockies Jurisdiction, which includes Eagle, Grand, Jackson, Pitkin, Routt and Summit counties, has been awarded $37,120 in federal funds from the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program. The money is to be distributed among agencies within the jurisdiction, and its board is seeking applications for funding from interested and qualified nonprofit organizations that provide food and shelter under emergency conditions.

LIFT-UP needs clothing, household item donations
LIFT-UP is looking for donations of clothing and household items to be resold through its community thrift store. Donations can be brought to the LIFT-UP Donation Center, on Aspen Street between Seventh and Eighth streets, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call 879-3374.
Bereavement support group meets in March
Mending A Broken Heart, a five-week bereavement support group, meets from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays in March at the Visiting Nurse Association offices. The group will provide education and support for anyone who has suffered the death of a loved one. Call Katy Thiel, at 879-1632, ext. 33, before attending a meeting.
Online site seeks logo entries for design contest
Yampavalley.info, an online information source for the Yampa Valley, is seeking artists to participate in a contest to design a logo for the Web site.
