Performing arts company holding 3rd flea market
Oak Street Performing Arts Company will host its third annual flea market from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 26 in the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot. Thirty-two spaces are available and cost $35 and $45, depending on size. Proceeds from the flea market will go toward production costs for the annual show and performing arts scholarships for local youths. For information on spaces, call 871-1880.
Steamboat Dance Theatre giving out scholarships
Steamboat Dance Theatre is soliciting applications for its dance scholarship program, available for students with any local dance teacher on a confidential financial need basis. Awards range from $25 to $300, depending on availability of funds. Applications can be accepted from any instructor, student or parent; students or parents should speak to their instructor and mail requests to Steamboat Dance Theatre at P.O. Box 774284, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, or fax a request to 879-9667. Summer applications should be received by June 15, though funds may be available on an ongoing basis. All ages and abilities are welcome to apply.

Bibliomaniac Book Sale set for June 12 and 13
The Bud Werner Memorial Library’s 17th annual Bibliomaniac Book Sale will be June 12 and 13 at the Depot Art Center. Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Book lovers will discover a treasure trove of second-hand books to choose from at 50 cents per pound with discounts kicking in Sunday. All proceeds from the book sale will benefit the services, programs and collections of Bud Werner Memorial Library. Volunteers are needed. Call 879-0240.

Steamboat Ballet presents ‘Musical Journey’ today
Steamboat Ballet presents “A Musical Journey” at 7 p.m. today at the Steamboat Springs High School auditorium. This production will include ballet, jazz, modern, tap and lyrical dances. Reserved tickets are $12; general admission tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.
‘Jolly Holidays’ auditions today in Oak Creek
Dance auditions for “Jolly Holidays,” put on by the Oak Street Performing Arts Company, are today at the studio at 326 Oak St. Dancers ages 5 to 10 will audition at 10:30 a.m.; dancers 11 and older will audition at noon. Arrive early to register. Call 871-1880.
