Pony Club, 4-H members invited to seminar July 31
Pony Club and 4-H members in the Yampa Valley, as well as their parents and riding instructors, have been invited to an overnight seminar on fox hunting July 31 and Aug. 1 at the Arapahoe Hunt Club in Aurora. Participants should arrive at 3 p.m. July 31 to tack up for hound exercising, which will be follwed by a potluck dinner at 8 p.m. Overnight camping is available at the hunt club. On Aug. 1, a 6 a.m. breakfast will be followed by a clinic on fox hunting and hound exercise. All levels of riders, including those without horses, will be accommodated. Arts Council seeking Strada D’Arte participants
The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is calling for artists to participate in the Strada D’Arte event Aug. 6 and 7. Strada D’Arte is a traditional form of Italian street painting-artists would cover church courtyards with renderings of the Madonna and other religious scenes. For the Beaux Arts Festival, artists will design and decorate a concrete square (either 3-by-3 feet or 6-by-6 feet) using ground pastel chalk. This typically is a full-day project. Interested artists who want a chance to show off their talent and imagination should call Dona Steele at 879-9038 or the Arts Council at 879-9008.
Tribute to those serving overseas set for Labor Day
Names of people who are serving or have died in action in Iraq and Afghanistan are being collected for a tribute at the “Wings and Wheels in the ‘Boat,” a Labor Day celebration at Steamboat Springs Airport.
Residents of Northwest Colorado should send information about relatives, friends or others serving overseas for a tribute at 11:30 a.m. Saturday during Labor Day weekend. Photos and information on those serving abroad will be displayed on a bulletin board while the tribute takes place. There may be a military flyover.

Euzoa@Night has rescheduled the location of its Sunday evening service. For the next three weeks — Sunday, Aug. 1 and Aug. 8 — the service will be at 5:57 p.m. at Bear River Run across from the Gondola.
