Designs due Feb. 1 for poster, T-shirt contest

A contest is under way for a T-shirt and poster design for the third annual Teen Battle of the Bands. The design should include the words “2006 Teen Battle of the Bands.” Preference will be given to artwork by teens. Designs are due Feb. 1. Suicide support group to meet once a month



Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide, or REPS, is offering a new monthly support group for those who have lost a loved one to or who have been touched by suicide. “Heartbeat of Routt County” will be held the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Visiting Nurse Association office, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101. Hosts include Ronna Autrey and Laurie Marano, both of whom are local community members who have lost loved ones to suicide. For more information, call Ronna at 871-0682.

Babytime program takes place Saturday mornings



Bud Werner Memorial Library’s Babytime program runs Saturday mornings through Feb. 18. The program for babies, toddlers and their parents features rhymes, movement, Mother Goose stories and simple books. Babytime is from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and 10:30 to 11 a.m. It is a free, drop-in program. Call 879-0240.
