School district seeks input on elementary schools
The Steamboat Springs School District would like input from community members as it moves forward with its elementary school projects.
The public is invited to a forum at 7 p.m. Thursday at the George P. Sauer Human Services Center on Seventh Street to discuss plans for the new Soda Creek Elementary School and the renovations to Strawberry Park Elementary School.
“We will review the plan again and take public comment,” Steamboat Springs Superintendent Donna Howell said. “We are creating this building not only for the next five years, but for the next 40 years.”
Howell said the district is interested in public suggestions.
Thursday’s community forum at the district offices on Seventh Street will be the final forum before construction begins.
