Art winners announced

The winners of “Digital Fine Art 2003” were announced this week. The exhibit was judged by Angela Forster, assistant professor in Electronic Media Arts Design at the University of Denver. The show is on display at the Depot Art Center, 1001 13th St., through Oct. 19.

Irish dancing class offered

An Irish step dancing class is being offered from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays from Oct. 6 through Dec. 15 at Northwest Ballet Studio, 326 Oak St. The class costs $70 for 11 sessions or $8 per class. The coed class is open to teenagers and adults.

The course is designed as an introduction to the basics of Irish dance — softshoe only. Call 879-2205 or e-mail

Youth music class offered

Registration is under way for “Music Together,” an eight-week program for parents and children ages 5 and younger. The music classes involve movement, singing and instruments. Cost is $70 per parent/child pair. Call Kathy St. George at 871-1110.

Depot to hold art shows

Applications for a one-person or small group show at the Eleanor Bliss Center for the Arts at the Depot Art Center are due by Oct. 1. Exhibit dates are scheduled for Feb. 13 to March 21, 2004.

Opera held

in October

Emerald City Opera and Colorado Mountain College will sponsor a performance of the Central City Opera in October. A portion of the ticket sales will support the Emerald City Opera.
