2 hour waltz class offered

The Center for Movement Arts will be offering a two hour dance workshop for the waltz and the one-step. No partner is needed, and no previous experience is required.

The one-step is a very easy and fun couple dance that really moves around the dance floor and is a great dance for learning the essence of leading and following skills, which then can be extended to the other lead and follow dances such as swing and tango. The classic waltz is great for learning how to dance in synchrony with music and leads naturally into the pattern dances such as salsa, foxtrot and others.

The workshop will be taught by Jim Borzym who has been teaching social dance for 25 years.

The workshop is $20 per person and will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at The Center for Movement Arts in the Old Pilot Building on 11th Street. Call to register 870-9977.
