Members and alumni of Yampa's Grand Slammers Bridge Club gathered recently in Grand Junction to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the club, which was formed in 1966. Pictured, back row, from left, are Raylene Olinger, Deana Znamenacek, Susi Crowner, Mary Jane Logan, and Bobbie Vetter; middle row, from left Sharon Clementson, Sandi deGanahl, Sue Hall, Cathy Lewis and Joy Walters; and, front row, from left, JoAnn Morgan, Cathie Voorhees, Sally Meek and Karen Craig.

In response to a full session of “Bridge in a Day” last February at the Steamboat Springs Community Center, a six-week duplicate bridge class will be offered at Colorado Mountain College Steamboat Springs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning Feb. 27. Students will learn bidding, declarer play, defensive play and keys to partnership success. The class will be customized for the never-ever player to the advanced beginner level. Registration will continue through Feb. 27.
