After just two years in business, voters have chosen The Steamboat Group as town’s best real estate company. The company has a relatively small team of 11, and helping the community is a priority.

“We love our out-of-town clients, but it’s special helping a local,” broker/owner Jon Wade said.

Wade said one secret to the company’s staff is heavily vetting an applicant before making a hire.

“I spend up to 15 hours interviewing people to make sure they’re really going to put clients first,” Wade said.

The team has won over many clients, including Jimmy and Samantha Nimock, who had their home on the market for a year and a half before handing the listing over to The Steamboat Group.

“Working with The Steamboat Group was one of the best exchanges we have ever had,” Jimmy said. “They proved to be everything we could have ever wanted and more.”

Wade adds that giving back is important to all of his staff. Through October, the company has raised more than $34,000 for local nonprofits.

“We’re grateful to live here, so we want to help keep Steamboat special,” Wade said.
