Bear wreaks havoc on property management vehicle: The Record for Thursday, June 13, 2017
12:13 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 1400 block of Steamboat Boulevard. A person heard noises near their home and noticed some bikes had been knocked over. A car door was also open, but nothing was missing. Police suspect a bear was the culprit.
12:48 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a report of a vehicle on fire near Bristol Hall at Colorado Mountain College. Police were still investigating what caused the fire Friday
1:34 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the 100 block of Hillside Drive.
8:03 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in the 200 block of River Road.
9:34 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear at Glacier Ridge and Overlook Drive.

11:20 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that had gotten stuck in a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban in the 3000 block of Temple Knolls. Housekeepers who were cleaning a home for a property management company reportedly had their lunches in the vehicle when the bear climbed in and was stuck inside. The bear then destroyed much of the interior of the vehicle before a maintenance worker opened a door to let the bear out.
12:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a weedwhacker that was stolen from Howelsen Hill Lodge.
2:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who left without paying for gas in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue.
5:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a shotgun stolen from a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. Police had actually taken possession of the shotgun the previous day for safekeeping after they had arrested the caller on suspicion of domestic violence after he allegedly had a fight with his wife inside the vehicle.
7:08 p.m. Fire Rescue emergency responders were called to a report of someone who had fallen in the 100 block of 11th Street.
11:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle.
