Art, heritage hike to be offered on Mad Creek

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Tread of Pioneers Museum and Steamboat Creates will present an art and heritage hike from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, on Mad Creek Trail.

During the hike, participants will be accompanied by land artist Camille DiTrani, who will lead people in using things found in nature to create unique, creative experiences.

During the hike, Candice Bannister, executive director of the museum, will talk about the area’s rich history. The museum recently received artifacts, photos and information about the Mad Creek area that Bannister is eager to share with the public for the first time. For tickets, visit SteamboatCreates.org.
