STEAMBOAT SPRINGSLiterary Sojourn is Sept. 8 at the Performing Arts Tent in Torian Plum Plaza featuring Chris Bohjalian, Andre Dubus III, Jacquelyn Mitchard, Sena Jeter Naslund and Gail Tsukiyama. The day begins with registration from noon to 12:30 p.m., author presentations and edible treats from 12:30 to 5 p.m. and a book signing and reception from 5 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $65 before Aug. 24, $75 after. SENORS PROGRAM PICNIC WEDNESDAY
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSParks and Recreation Department present an outdoor picnic lunch as part of the 2001 Seniors Program Wednesday. Plans are to meet at the bottom of the gondola at 10:30 a.m. to take a ride up the mountain, have lunch and enjoy the sunshine, views and conversation. Lunch should end by 2 p.m. Cost is $10 a person and space is limited. Call 879-4300 for more information.
CABARET ACT TAKES STAGE FOR STRINGS

NORTH ROUTT ARTISTS TO BE FOCUS OF TOUR
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSSteamboat Studios Art and Gallery presents a trip Aug. 18 in north Routt concentrating on artists from Steamboat to Hahn’s Peak. Artists can gain exposure and network with patrons and other artists. Guests have the opportunity to gain experience through information, inspiration and entertainment to raise money for Steamboat Springs Art Council.
Cost is $75 for the day tour and three meals.
The tour is only $25 and a Sculpture Yard Stomp Dinner and silent auction is $50.
RAILROAD STATION LECTURE ON AUG. 23
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSPartners in Interpretation presents Tie Hack and Hog Park Tour from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23. Lunch is provided after an educational lecture and tour of the railroad built in the 1900s by Swedish and Norwegians in north Routt.
Cost is $25 a person, $45 a couple, reservations required.
