COLUMBINE CHORALE IN CONCERT ON TUESDAY
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSThe Columbine Chorale presents the annual holiday concert “Our Town in December” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Steamboat Springs High School Theater. Tickets are available at the door and cost $5 for adults and $1 for students and seniors. Children 6 and under get in free.
MUSEUM HOSTS CURTIS PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSTread of Pioneers presents “The Life and Work of Edward S. Curtis” photography exhibit opening from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the museum. Call 879-2214 for more information. At the turn of the 20th century, Curtis began a 30-year journey to portray the beauty and honor of the Native peoples of North America.
The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
ART, METAPHOR FOCUS OF ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSThe Alpine Enrichment Program presents the last of the fall seminar series with “The Kiva as Metaphor in Art” with Eileen Braziel at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Bryan King Room, 300 Bogue Hall at the Colorado Mountain College Alpine Campus.
Braziel will present a slide show of visual arts highlighting her recent master’s thesis on Kiva Ritual, the western interpretation of the rebirth myth and its connection to contemporary art.

WEE NATURALIST SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
STEAMBOAT SPRINGSYampatika and Partners in Interpretation present a Wee Naturalist schedule for the winter. A “Reindeer Here?” seminar is from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Yampatika on 10th Street and Lincoln Avenue to learn about reindeer cousins and what they do. Call 871-9151 for more information.

Monday through Saturday: Family winter activity backpacks at Yampatika. Go to the store to check out what’s available.
Tuesdays: Emerald Mountain Snowshoe Tour (moderate) from 9 a.m. to noon. Meet at Yampatika. Guided nature ski tours from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Meet at the top of Why Not ski run.
Wednesdays: Rabbit Ears Backcountry Tour from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pre-registration and reservations required.
Thursdays:Uranium Mine Road Snowshoe Tour from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at Yampatika. Guided nature ski tours from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Saturdays: Karen’s Winter Explorations from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every other Saturday, beginning Dec. 8 with a
cross country and/or snowshoe tour in the Yampa Valley. Reservations required and fee charged. Call for reservations and more information.
