Comunidad Integrada looking for local talent
Comunidad Integrada is looking for local talent to participate in a talent show during the third annual Craig Cinco de Mayo Festival. The event is from noon to 5 p.m. May 5. Talent show participants will perform from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. Call Summer Laws at 846-5521.
USDA commodities distribution ends June 30
USDA Commodities are being distributed for the second quarter of 2007 at LIFT-UP of Routt County offices in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Oak Creek through The Emergency Food Assistance Program. Each eligible household may receive TEFAP foods once per quarter. This quarterly distribution ends June 30. Food will be given on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Cabaret 2007 fundraiser tickets now on sale
Tickets are on sale for Cabaret 2007, an Arts Council fundraiser and local comedy revue. This year’s theme is “The Times Are A-Changin'” and will be held May 17 to May 19 at Steamboat Mountain Theater. Reserved seating ticket prices are $40 for opening night and $30 for Friday and Saturday shows. Call 879-9008.
Volunteers wanted to finish educational log cabin
The World Park Educational Institute is seeking volunteers for finishing renovations on a small educational log cabin and natural products research lab. Part-time volunteers are needed for light carpentry, cabinetry, ranch work, cultivation of herbs, work in research gardens, grant writing, bookkeeping, lab work and other jobs. Carpenter’s Ball is May 12 at Steamboat Grand
The second annual Carpenter’s Ball is at 6:30 p.m. May 12 at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel. Tickets are $60 a person or $900 for a corporate table. All proceeds benefit Routt County Habitat for Humanity. For more information or to RSVP, call 871-6101.
