¤ “The Sounds of Spring” concert by the Steamboat Springs Chamber Orchestra
When: 7 p.m.
Where: Moffat County High School in Craig
Cost: $10 for adults; $5 for senior citizens and students; and $1 for children 12 and younger
Why you should go: Because the orchestra is made up of truly amazing local musicians, and it’s a great opportunity to take a road trip to Craig. (They also are playing in at the Steamboat Christian Center on Saturday and Sunday.)

Saturday
¤ Cardboard Classic
When: 1:30 p.m. race begins; registration is from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Where: Adjacent to Headwall ski trail
Cost: Free
Why you should go: Because you want to beat the rugby team and be beat by the ruby slipper.

¤ “Paradise On Ice,” Steamboat Springs Figure Skating Club’s annual spring ice show
When: 7 p.m.
Where: Howelsen Ice Arena
Cost: $5
Why you should go: Because you didn’t get to watch enough figure skating during the Olympics, and part of the proceeds will be donated to the animal shelter.

Sunday
¤ Tony Furtado
When: 3 p.m.
Where: Base of Steamboat Ski Area
Cost: Free
Why you should go: Because Furtado is a great musician.

Thursday
¤ “South Pacific”
When: 7 p.m.
Where: Steamboat Springs High School auditorium
Cost: $10 for adults, $8 for ages 12 to 18 and $5 for children 12 and younger
Why you should go: Because the proceeds go to the Brian Houston Memorial Fund.
