Advocates Building Peaceful Communities seeks donations

Advocates Building Peaceful Community is in need of the following donations.

• Shower curtains for the shelter

• Window blinds or curtains for the shelter

• Walmart or grocery store gift cards for clients

• Paper shredder to shred confidential client files

Registration for kindergarten in Steamboat Springs now open

Steamboat Springs School District kindergarten registration for the 2018-19 school year is open. To enroll online, visit steamboatschools.net and click on "Online Enrollment Registration — New Students Register Here" to register new preschool, kindergarten or first-grade students. The district is reviewing registration numbers to determine class size and staffing. Registration kiosks are also available at school offices and at the District Office, 325 Seventh Street, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Community Ag Alliance expands online fresh food market hours

The Community Agriculture Alliance has expanded hours for its online local food market at caamarket.org. The site, which is managed by CAA, allows local producers the opportunity to list their products and customers can shop online.

The site is open for weekly ordering from noon Monday through midnight Wednesday.  Orders are picked up at CAA offices, at 141 Ninth St. in downtown Steamboat, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday.

The market is also offering new same day pick-up with a limited number of local products available for ordering and pick up the same day. Current same day pick-up products include farm fresh eggs, micro greens, local pork, lamb and beef, honey, locally roasted coffee, tea, wheat berries and more.

UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center is seeking caring people to join its volunteer team.
