About one-third of ballots have been cast ahead of Election Day

— The Routt County Clerk & Recorder’s office had received about 5,300 valid ballots as of Monday evening, according to Elections Supervisor Kim Bonner.

Bonner said the office was busy Monday following low voter turnout late last week.

More than 15,000 ballots were mailed out to registered voters in Routt County.

The courthouse will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Election Day.

Residents who have resided in the city for at least 22 days still can visit the courthouse through Election Day to register to vote and get a ballot.
