A crane’s-eye view: drone footage shows progress of gondola construction at Steamboat Resort

A crane installs a gondola tower near the top of Christie Peak Express on Tuesday. Jay Kinghorn, a videographer for Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp., captured the image on his drone. The crane installed the majority of the towers for the new and improved gondola, which is set to be operational before the upcoming winter season. A helicopter will help put up the remaining towers on the steeper mountain terrain.
