2019 Best of the Boat yoga studio: Out Here Yoga

Out Here Yoga, founded by Shannon Crow, Nancy Perry and Laura Rust, has quickly made a name for itself by helping people better their lives.

“We wanted to bring our brand of Baptiste yoga to a mountain town, and Steamboat is the perfect fit,” says Crow. “The people are so extraordinary here.”

Located above McKnight’s Irish Pub, the studio hosts a variety of community service classes benefitting local nonprofits, and its 40 Days Personal Revolution program integrates leadership and inquiry into practice and meditation.

“It gets them looking into areas of life they want to improve,” Crow says. “A lot of people live out their dreams through what we do. Our yoga is all about empowering people and changing their lives for the better.”

The practice also has a large outdoor component, with classes hosted on stand-up paddleboards, hiking trails and more — all with the underlying theme of self- and community-betterment.
