2019 Best of the Boat tire company: Yampa Valley Tire Pros & Express Lube
Anyone familiar with changing out vehicle tires for winter knows to get their reservations in early at Yampa Valley Tire Pros, the area’s top choice for everything tires.
The locally owned business on the west side of town is tucked away by the Bargain Barn Thrift Store, but that doesn’t keep loyal customers away.
Manager Nate Gray says he’s tried to “flip the script” on people’s negative views of mechanics and auto service.
“We live off our core values of customer safety first, reliable work and honesty,” says Gray.
Locals Jeremy Behling and Sarah Fox bought the shop about five years ago, changing the name from the original Big O Tires. Gray says tire shops can be physically demanding so the owners do their best to take care of employees.
Gray loves to quote Richard Branson’s famous line, “Happy employees equal happy customers.”
