2019 Best of the Boat physical therapy office: Johnson & Johnson

Eclipsing its 25th year in Steamboat Springs, Johnson & Johnson Physical Therapy has topped town’s Best PT list since 2011.
Now visiting their office at 1880 Logger’s Lane, patients continue to receive the highest level of one-on-one care. The clinic prides itself on not just treating symptoms, but getting to the root of the problem.
“We’re very hands-on and look at finding the cause,” says Brent Yamashita, co-owner and clinical director. “Gregg and Vicky Johnson, my clinical mentors and business partners, have taught thousands of clinicians worldwide to identify mechanical, neuromuscular and motor control deficiencies.”
These can then be addressed through Core First Strategies, Functional Manual Therapy, exercise and education, he adds.
Another advantage is the clinic’s front office staff.
“They’re the gateway of our whole person-caring philosophy,” says Yamashita. “We all have our issues from being active here, but we don’t have to settle for them. A positive, caring and healthy environment is an essential part of healing.”
