2019 Best of the Boat lunch spot and salad: Freshies Restaurant
Want a great lunch to refuel those carbs left on the slopes? How about a salad for a little lighter fare?
Freshies has a stronghold on both, winning the town’s Best Lunch Spot and Salad, thanks to its wholesome food and friendliness.
For lunch, try its duo of a half salad (choose from 11) and a cup of soup (choose from up to seven); or its Cristo Verde sammy, including thinly sliced turkey, green chilis, aged white cheddar and sweet mustard on grilled jalapeño cheddar bread.
If you want to go full salad, sink your fork into the Meadows, served with romaine, caramelized onions, dried cherries, house spiced pecans, goat cheese and homemade house dressing.
“We’re fortunate to have strong local business, and we love to take care of them,” says co-owner Scott Fox. “We offer primo product that locals enjoy and then word spreads to the tourists. Plus, our staff is just plain awesome.”
