2019 Best of the Boat fitness center/gym: Old Town Hot Springs

Old Town Hot Springs has lapped the competition as town’s best fitness center, and now it’s better than ever with the completion of a new 15,000-square-foot expansion.

The renovation nearly doubled the facility’s fitness space, and added a second classroom for fitness classes and training programs, an indoor walking track, an indoor 37-foot climbing wall, an educational conference room and a kitchen for nutrition courses.

Members have access to more than 100 different exercise classes each week, with a long list of personal trainers.

“The fitness experience here is really night and day compared to where it was last year,” says fitness director Holly Harris. “It’s an amazing space and we’re excited for the expanded offerings we’re now able to bring to our 7,500-plus members, guests and community.”

Bonus: Outside the gym, a natural hot spring complete with back-massaging waterfall helps soothe those sore muscles.
