2019 Best of the Boat car salesperson: Stacey Rogers, Cook Chevrolet & Subaru

Over the past 33 years, Stacey Rogers figures he has sold cars to four different generations of family members.

Some years at Cook Chevrolet he has sold 250 cars, others 150.

No matter how many, he’s still the town’s best when it comes to moving automobiles.

“I enjoy visiting with people and making them a good deal,” he says. “You meet a lot of great people in this line of work — it’s a lot of fun. I also like taking care of them after the sale. I have a lot of repeat customers and referrals.”

Rogers, who got into the car business after selling his own business, credits his team at Cook, including its service and parts departments. As far as what’s moving these days, he adds that it’s Subarus, Subarus and more Subarus.

“They always move pretty well,” he says. “Everyone drives a Subaru here.”

His only regret? “I wish I knew how many cars I’ve sold here,” he says.
